Dear Andy;

You have found one of a volunteer's greatest frustrations! The numerous lists
one must check before beginning a project, and even then there is still no
guarantee. First you have to see if the book is already in the collection, then
you need to see if it's in the in process list, then you need to see if it's
any awaiting approval list, and finally you need to check and see if it's on
the to be scanned list that Cindy keeps. Even then, you aren't always safe
since some people don't report what they are scanning and it could be done by a
volunteer not on the volunteer list. Exasperating, isn't it?

Having said that, these titles were requested just a couple of weeks ago, and I
do think a couple of people stepped forward to say that they would commit to
the project. Hopefully Cindy or someone else can let you know if any specific
titles still needed to be spoken for. Scott developed a cool program called the
Series Captains list that Nancy Feldman compiles of people committed to
particular series. It might be on there as well.

So sorry you are running into this particularly frustrating situation,
hopefully someone can address your specific titles.

Valerie
