rtf seems to be Word, as far as I can tell. If you can convert it to Word, as
Jackie suggests, you could replace the d by putting d plus each letter of the
alphabet and replace with nothing. YOu couldn't do a replace all, because that
might replace a d that belongs in a word, e.g., dead, or done, but you'd only
have to hit replace 26 times at most and if you then did a spell check
afterward words that didn't have an initial "d" and should have probably would
be caught.

Roger, without developing a macro, there is no easy way to fix that.
Just curious--does it do that w/text as well? Perhaps if u have word u
could save it as a text file, load it in2 word, & convert to rtf, .
I've been workin w/another person on this list who uses OB & it does
indeed do some weird things w/the conversion.
