I went out to refill the bird feeder and much to my surprise I found a goldfinch inside the feeder. I made the feeder from a plastic grape juice container. I cut small holes at the base of the container so the seed could spill out into the tray. These holes are not all that large. Yet, the poor little bird had somehow managed to get through the hole and into the bottle. Fearing the bird would injure itself, I simply cut the bottle in two and the happy little bird flew away. Guess I'll make the replacement holes even smaller. -- Lloyd C.
