Ahhh yes, the bird dream.
Let’s see… my most recent and exciting bird dream was of Marbled Godwits
frolicking in the modestly sized bird bath in my backyard. I offered them
milk and chocolate chip cookies which they gobbled down and “cooed” their
appreciation. In real life I would never pet or approach these magnificent
birds in real life, but this was my dream and I was not bound to standard
birding ethics and practices. I pet them, cleaned their bills, and invited
them to stay and make a home. They agreed and raised many small offspring
who ate all the cookies I could bake.
No, I was not under the influence of any substance legal or otherwise… just
a vivid imagination fueled by my love of birds.
