The Black-bellied Whistling-Duck is still in Lake Reba, today at 9h, on the
west bank with the coots.
It's quite cooperative and easy to approach.
I was able to take a lot of photos and a movie with my small camera.

The Black-bellied Whistling-Duck was still present at 11 this morning. It
was no longer on the island but on the west bank with the large flock of
coots.

Other birds of interest: Green Heron, Eastern Kingbird, Osprey, and five
hirundines (all but Cliff Swallow).

A Black-bellied Whistling-Duck was photographed yesterday at Lake Reba
outside Richmond. Details of the sighting can be found on eBird. It was
reported by several grad students at EKU. Some of the info is copied below:

"Duck was perched on fallen branch along edge of island in Lake Reba. Saw
it from one of the pavilions. Bright pink-red bill and unique coloring
pattern easily visible with binoculars from shore. If you're on the fishing
pier, look out slightly to the right and you'll easily see the island." --
