After reading several postings about the ?sudden? appearance of hummingbirds, I thought I would share this source of information. It?s a piece that one of the local columnists (Sharon Sorenson-Evansville Courier) did about the perceived absence of hummers during May and June. One can view the column at the following URL: http://www.courierpress.com/news/2008/jul/13/where-are-the-hummers-just-chec k-the-calendar/ . (Evansville, Indiana is located across the river from us, and I think most of Kentucky will experience a comparable effect with the hummingbird population.) I hope the information is helpful.
