It was only a week ago today when I was last at Parsons Pond, but in the
intervening time it went from many acres to a few small puddles. 3 Wood Duck
families, a Mallard family, some Mallard Drakes and a couple of Great Blue
Herons occupied one small puddle no more than 30 feet long. 30 Canada Geese
were wandering around the dry pond bed.
Decided to go by other wet spots and found 2 Semi-palmated Plovers and
6 Semi-palmated Sandpipers at John U. Young Road pond, along with many Killdeer
and a couple of Canada Goose families.
