30º rising to 60º clear
in order:
Woods Tract, 268 slough, Horseshoe Rd., Grassy Pond/Powell's Lake
Unit, Uniontown Dam (Union Co.) Jenny Hole area
The water is over the dam at Uniontown Dam.
With gun deer season and Waterfowl hunters there were not many places
to get out & bird.
Highlights:
Sandhill Cranes, 7 overhead just east of Henderson Airport heading
south (first I've seen in years)
Great Blue Heron 1 at U'town Dam passed overhead with ten feet of
fishing line and hooks and sinkers dangling from its feet ;-(
NO Tundra Swans seen
Turkey Vultures 6
Bald Eagles
1 juv at Woods Tract,
1 Adult at Uniontown Dam made a pass at something in the river
then flew off to a nest on the Indiana side of Ohio River
Robin 1 at Uniontown Dam, in the woods
Golden-crowned Kinglet at Jenny Hole feeding on the ground in leaf
litter
Lapland Longspurs at Horseshoe Road
Charlie
Henderson Co.
