I had a nice suprise today while checking out Frogue Lake.In the
mixture of Snipe, Greater and Lesser Yellowlegs,Pectoral and Least
Sandpipers,I found a RUFF . It was between the Greater and Lesser
Yellowlegs in size, and had yellow -orange legs and a fairly thick black
bill. Its back was similar to Buff-breasted with mostly white belly. Its
chest had a few pale markings, and it had a dark eyeline. NOTE: Birders
are welcome and parking is limited to roadside, with one pulloff for
one,or two vehicles. It was hanging out close to the road but is likely
to move around a little.
