I believe I saw a dark phase Rough-legged Hawk fly across KY-33 just south of Versailles (between KY-169 and the Bluegrass Parkway) early this afternoon. I would have liked to get a better look, but, well, I was driving and hoping to stay alive! Still, dark phase Rough-legged Hawks are quite distinctive birds so I'm fairly confident that's what I saw.
