Our feeders have been taken over by them today, and they are making use of all
the accommodations!

This morning, Alison and I walked our front field circle in reverse because our
usual route would have put us on an intercept course with a cow and a day old
calf. This particular cow is unusually defensive, so we elected to err on the
side of caution. When we got back to the overgrown backyard extension, I
spotted a Rose-breasted Grosbeak. It was moving about in tree foliage and the
light where I was standing was so strong, I couldn’t see the camera view
screen. I simply zoomed in and pointed camera in the general direction where I
thought the bird was. I managed to capture part of a bird. My shot is a far cry
from ideal, but I was lucky to get anything at all. I might as well have been
aiming by sense of smell.
