[birdky] Red Tail with Broken Leg

Encountered a beautiful red-tailed hawk just off the road at KY Dam on Monday.
After stopping in the middle of the road and snapping several pix,
it occured to me that the hawk was sitting low (maybe 25' off the ground) ,
and although alert, not exhibiting flight behavior from all the cars
passing close by (maybe 60' away). It was then I noticed one leg hanging down
limply.
Thirty minutes later the hawk was gone. I'm hoping for the best for this
critter.
