The two Ruby-throated Hummingbirds that were inadvertently "cut down"
last week in Pewee Valley remained in their nest until this past
weekend. Emily Rademaker reported that only one young remained in the
nest on Saturday and that by Sunday both had fledged.
The Indigo Bunting nest in my sweet corn patch at Louisville now has
downy young ... hoping their flimsy nest will make it through any
weekend thunderstorms we may experience ... need the rain but worried
about them!
