Rob Lane and I checked the gull roost off the downtown Louisville waterfront this evening; quite similar to the last time I checked it over a week ago. Probably more than 1000 Ring-billed Gulls; *maybe* 75 Herring Gulls; 1 3rd year Lesser Black-backed Gull. One pale gull that would not move into profile *could* have possibly been an adult Glaucous Gull, but probably just illusion. Lots of divers scattered about including TWO White-winged Scoters out near the gulls diving at mid-river with Greater Scaup. On the family farm today, I had at least 1 and probably 2 American Pipits attempting to forage along plowed roads and in the cattle pen. Also had 3 Rusty Blackbirds at the feeding station along with increased number of American Tree Sparrows (7). A Northern Harrier also paid a visit, coursing around the main Indian grass fields for about 15 minutes. bpb, Louisville ================NOTES TO SUBSCRIBERS============== When posting on BIRDKY, please close posts with your first and last name and your address (city or county). * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * To post on BIRDKY, send e-mail to: birdky@xxxxxxxxxxxxx * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Visit the KOS website at http://www.birdky.org * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Visit the KOS Photo Page to view photos of birds recently sighted in Kentucky: http://www.flickr.com/groups/kentucky_ornithological_society/pool * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * To unsubscribe, send e-mail to: birdky-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with 'unsubscribe' in the Subject line. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * BIRDKY List Manager: Gary Ritchison.
