Quite the vocal duel outside during the last hour before dawn this morning.
Two pairs of Great Horned Owls apparently ironing out territories. Also got to
hear a new sound for me . . . the multiple squawk calls of one of a pair
(recording with eBird list below). From the web site Mark Monroe linked last
month, I presume this is a male call as it is attributed to "Victor" there:

As it got light, first an American Crow, then wo Red-shouldered Hawks
interrupted the party, both vigorously protesting the presence of the owls!
