I reported, yesterday, that a pair of Bluebirds are working on a nest in one
of our boxes but forgot to mention that the female has been a regular visitor
to our bark butter tree. This is unprecedented here. Over the years, Bluebirds
have gladly taken advantage of our high-quality-and-well-maintained-housing,
but completely ignored our varied restaurant offerings.
This female bluebird is bold in other ways, too; we watched her collecting nest
material from one of the large planters, on our deck, while we at supper.
Also, I got a look at our first-of-year Brown Thrasher, this evening, and our
FOY Eastern Phoebe visited, earlier in the day.
