Friends
Have finally retired to the 90+ wooded acres where my wife was born and
raised--about 15 miles southeast of West Liberty. Spring arrivals are
being welcomed and so far include:
Red eyed vireo
White eyed vireo
Scarlet Tanager
Blue gray gnatcatcher
Hooded Warbler
Brown Thrasher
Black and white warbler
Whip poor will
Chipping sparrow
Could someone please help me identify the bird who seems to be saying:
"Chewy, chewy, chewy chew"? Have seen American Redstarts here in past
years but not sure about their song.
Thank you,
Doug Hennig
