Part of the afternoon was spent with Aaron Hulsey and Steve Kistler with the following highlights: GREATER SCAUP (8) AMERICAN BITTERN (fresh roadkill at culvert) BROAD-WINGED HAWK (4 high and northbound, located by seeing the godwits look up) MERLIN MARBLED GODWITS (10 In addition to the flock of 8 previously reported, there were 2 resting with gulls at the northeastern area of the lake) SPOTTED SANDPIPER AMERICAN PIPIT PALM WARBLER (Spotted by Aaron) Yardbirds this morning included singing Black and White Warbler and Red-eyed Vireo. On another note of interest, I had a lady call me this morning reporting a Great Egret in her yard in Bowling Green which was apparently injured during the storm last night.
