Adding to James’s comments, the list of Kentucky Christmas Counts has now
reappeared on our website, at http://birdky.org/christmas-bird-counts.html. ;
The ones with this year’s info are in black type, while those which have not
yet been updated are still gray. Contact info is listed beside each count.
For anyone wishing to join a CBC or begin a new count, contact James at
james.a.wheat@xxxxxxxxx . Most counts welcome new birders, novice to expert, to
join them.
Compilers, please let me know your count dates when you get them set, and we’ll
put the word out.

The Louisville Christmas Bird Count, sponsored jointly by KOS and the Beckham
Bird Club, is scheduled for Sunday, December 16, 2018.
Anyone interested in participating should contact me - or the section leader
you've worked with before - by replying to this message (careful not to "reply
to all"). If you can't help in the field, let me know if you can help out by
watching your feeders in the count circle. We're hoping for a great count day,
and our section leaders are already checking out their areas!
If you happen to go birding within the Count Circle during Count Week (Dec 13 -
19), please use eBird to record your checklists, so we can track Count Week
species.
