I am way south of you, but I had a juvenile Downey at my feeder yesterday.

Subject: [birdky] Louisville: Downy Woodpecker Juveniles
We, staff at the Falls of the Ohio, just found a Downy Woodpecker with
Juvenile field marking of red on the crown.
Would it be possible to have a juv. downy this early?? It was alone and
foraging independently of any adult birds.
It just seems early to me.... maybe not ????
Good Birding
