Red-necked Grebes have now been reported from no less than 36 distinct locales
in 28 counties! This bests the late winter 1994, when they were found at seven
locales:
Adair Co. -- Green River Lake
Allen Co. -- Barren River Lake
Anderson Co. -- Beaver Lake
Barren Co. -- Barren River Lake
Bath Co. -- Cave Run Lake
Boone Co. -- Camp Ernst Lake, Gravel pit near Petersburg
Bullitt Co. -- Lake Nevin at Bernheim Forest
Bracken Co. -- Ohio River above Meldahl Dam; Ohio River at Higginsport, OH
Fayette Co. -- Lex Res. #4, Lex. Res. #2/3, Jacobson Park, Quarry near
Spinndletop
Fleming Co. -- Flemingsburg Reservoir
Franklin Co. -- Silver Lake
Gallatin Co. -- Craig's Creek
Hardin Co. -- Freeman Lake, Lower Douglas Lake
Harlan Co. -- Martins Fork Lake
Jefferson Co. -- Ohio River, Long Run Park, Valhalla Golf Club
Kenton Co. -- Ohio River
Lewis Co. -- Ohio River
Lincoln Co. -- Cedar Creek Lake
Madison Co. -- Owsley Fork Lake
