We noticed swamp blue purple Asclepius this year, at it appears to attract more
butterflies than the tuberosa asclepius. We probably have had the swamp for
years. The swamp grows on wet ground, of course, while the Tuberosa grows on
upland, dry clay ground...however, it, the tuberosa grows much bigger in a
rich flower bed.

I've been seeing a lot on their journey too and I am struck with a similar
curiosity and wonder about them. I planted some native Asclepius tuberosa
(butterfly weed) this year and have the privilege of watching many refuel in my
yard before continuing. In fact, there is one on it now. :-)
