Things were really happening here, today, too. I had three Harriers in one
scope view… I don’t remember the last time that happened, here. For the first
time this year, a Field Sparrow was singing sweetly, (somewhere near the
feeders - couldn’t see it), and our FOS Chipping Sparrow was on one of the
feeders, while we ate our dinner. Also, two male Mallards made a flyby.
We’ve measured 3.7 inches of rain in the last week. It was very wet, even
before, and there’s water ponding in places where I’ve never seen it. There
should be plenty of puddles for migrants this year.
