We have no ice glaze here, this morning, but yesterday’s vast quantity of
moisture is frozen in place. I’ve seen several House Finches that apparently
left their tail feathers frozen to overnight roosts and other birds have icy
tail feathers. Right on cue, our first-of-year Fox Sparrow is here among the
other feeder birds. We ordered an American Tree Sparrow too but it hasn’t been
delivered yet.
