Six birders joined me in birding Cherokee park this am from 8-10. Weather was
humid, muggy and warm.

Migration was slow but good birds and nice company made for a great time. A
charm of Ruby-throated hummingbirds was working the jewel weed by the stream
the entire time. Only six species of warbler and 2 species of vireo could be
found today.

Highlights include the following:

Yellow-billed cuckoo (heard)

Acadian Flycatcher (heard)

Yellow-bellied Flycatcher(heard near Hogan's fountain by Brian Davis and myself)

Swainson's Thrush ( RL and BD)

Red-eyed Vireo

Warbling Vireo

Yellow-throated Warbler

Chestnut-sided Warbler

Magnolia Warbler

American Redstart

Blackburnian Warbler

Black-and-white Warbler

Good Birding,
Rob Lane
