Since I began the chatter on Blue Jays, I should share some of the results from various birders who have replied, most just to me rather than to the listserve. It's really weird, but almost everyone says they think they are low or absent EXCEPT about a half dozen folks from around Lexington and points north and east. There have been a few exceptions in southern and western Kentucky. The feeder birds are always difficult to judge, of course, because they are present at least in part due to the feed being put out for them. Anyway, preliminary responses seem to suggest that in the northeastern quarter or so of the state they may be present in normal numbers. The CBC data should be really interesting to look at.
