Took the family driving around Ballard WMA this evening. Mitchell was teeming with least terns with as many as 6 Black terns working out near the middle. Shorebirds were numerous but mostly out of binocular range on the far north end. A few pecs and solitary sp were up by the levee as well as killdeer. There are likely numerous species on the expansive mudflats as well as several waders, eagles etc. It's definitely worth a closer inspection and should only get better. Scott Record Ragland KY
