I enjoyed birding at Mammoth this morning with two Canadian couples who are on
extended birding trips around the US. Found some lifers for them :)
My new additions on the spring were yellow warblers and Baltimore oriole.
I was down in Bowling Green later in the day. McElroy is very full, with all
the good shorebird habitat submerged. Only 1 killdeer.
The good bobolink spot at the WKU ag farm has two good alfalfa fields, but no
bobolinks in evidence.
In non-bird news, I led a wildflower walk at the park later in the morning. One
of my fellow hikers was the drummer from Three Dog Night. A celebrity! He was a
really nice, normal, friendly guy.
