Jack Still and I birded Beargrass Nature Preserve today and found the usual winter migrants/residents including a Red-breasted Nuthatch, a nice flock of 37+ Chipping Sparrows, and a Winter Wren. The Falls of the Ohio were mostly barren of birds other than some 50-60 Vultures. Perhaps the birds took off yesterday with the Lewis & Clark re-enactors as they headed down river.
