Aaron Hulsey and I birded the Barren Reservoir area
this afternoon with the following highlights:
Pond along hwy 1855/Allen Co
Gr White-fronted Goose (3)
Cackling Goose
No Pintail (female spending her 2nd consecutive winter
here)
Common Loon (Mason's area)
Bald Eagle (ad and juv)
Dunlin (7 Walnut Creek area)
Herring Gull (2 1st cy Mason's area)
Palm Warbler (Quarry Beach)
Chipping Sparrow (5+ ")
Savannah Sparrow (5+ ")
Joanie and I are hosting Chipping Sparrows again this
winter. Pine Siskins are also being seen regularly at
our feeders.
