Today I observed and photographed a pine siskin wearing a leg band for a few
seconds! ...my wish would be to find out where this finch was banded.
Unfortunately there’s only a partial number showing in the photo. Maybe
Brainard can shed some light on this. The numbers of siskins also today
increased. I counted 28 at one point but siskins were continuely moving about
and very difficult to get a numbers on. There were probably more!
Also this morning we were visited by an adult Copper’s Hawk.
