Mitchell lake currently has extensive wader/yellowleggs habitat. Best
viewing is from the duck trap station and levee in the afternoons. The
water is being lowered and there is good potential for mudflats to develop
near the duck trap station. Viewing is hampered by extensive small birch
and maple trees growing in the lake bed. It may well get very good in a
couple of weeks. Bring your rubber boots.
