Despite rain all day and temperatures above freezing, very little bare ground has yet opened up for birds to forage on. But birds are foraging on the few spots that have opened up. Once today I counted over 30 Grackles on little open spots by the gate and on the right-of-way bank across the road from the house. There was still corn to be had in the yard, but it was good to see a portion of them choose something else. Probably saved a gallon of corn today. Had to watch for Jeeves from the side door or kitchen window today. Saw him many times, once foraging under the thistle sock side by side with a Fox Sparrow. Couldn't get any pictures through the foggy glass, but this morning I added to Flickr a picture from yesterday of Jeeves near a bunny. Didn't think I had captured them together, but when I downloaded images from my other camera this morning, there was Jeeves. https://www.flickr.com/photos/123438032@N04/ Frank Lyne frank@xxxxxxxxxxx - near Dot in Logan County, KY ================NOTES TO SUBSCRIBERS============= When posting on BIRDKY, please close posts with your first and last name and your address (city or county). * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * To post on BIRDKY, send e-mail to: birdky@xxxxxxxxxxxxx * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Visit the KOS website at http://www.birdky.org * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Visit the KOS Photo Page to view photos of birds recently sighted in Kentucky: http://www.flickr.com/groups/kentucky_ornithological_society/pool * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * To unsubscribe, send e-mail to: birdky-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with 'unsubscribe' in the Subject line. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * BIRDKY List Manager: Gary Ritchison.
