Hey Pamela,
No doubt that was the bird singing the Blue-winged song. It's a Brewster's
Warbler (hybrid Blue-winged/Golden-winged). Note the yellowish underparts
and lack of a dark throat.
Very good bird, even if not a real 'species'.

So either both were present or I just hearing the bee buzz with the
splutter sound that I see is also part of the golden-winged repertoire.
