Can’t go wrong with that bird!!
We had a KOS speaker a few years ago who was discussing the incomplete species
separation and hybridization of blue-winged and golden-winged. A few days later
I got all excited, hearing a golden-winged song in a tree…turned out to be
blue-winged, at least visually.

Subject: [birdky] Anderson // golden-winged warbler by my garden today
It was thrilling
today to see a golden-winged warbler up by my garden this morning just after 7
a.m. I am not a photographer but I did get this pix for ID.
The weird thing was that I was chasing the sound of a blue-winged warbler when
I saw this.
So either both were present or I just hearing the bee buzz with the splutter
sound that I see is also part of the golden-winged repertoire.
Beautiful day!
