The MASTS-BES Marine Centenary Symposium National Museum of Scotland Auditorium Wednesday 27th March, 10.10 - 16.45 The British Ecological Society<http://www.britishecologicalsociety.org/about_bes/centenary.php> celebrates its centenary with a public marine symposium organised by the Marine Alliance for Science and Technology<http://www.masts.ac.uk/> for Scotland (MASTS) in association with the National Museum of Scotland. This symposium will run as part of the Edinburgh Science Festival<http://www.sciencefestival.co.uk/>. We are pleased to announce the event will be hosted by BBC Radio 4 presenter Quentin Cooper, best known for presenting the UK's most listened to science programme, Material World on BBC Radio 4. The symposium features a parade of international experts talking about everything from biological exploration of the deep seas to cold water coral ecosystems and jellyfish blooms.
