[bcbirdclub] Northern Flicker

As I went to Lebanon this morning, I decided to go through the "Forty Foot
Section" which is where Northern Shrikes are frequently seen. While I
didn't see a Shrike, I did see a Northern Flicker on a large limestone rock.
He was picking insects from the cracks, but I couldn't help remembering a
cartoon I saw years ago that had a woodpecker in a petrified forest.
