Hi All, This year's trip to Magee Marsh in the Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge on Lake Erie is scheduled for the week of May 17th. Lynda and I are going up on Tuesday, May 13th and returning on Saturday, May 17th. We made reservations yesterday at the Comfort Inn in Port Clinton, OH at $62+13% tax per night during the week. Week-end prices are higher. By this evening the price per night had gone up by $7.00, so those planning to go may want to make their reservations as soon as possible before prices jump even more, and those who plan to reserve rooms during the week-end need to remember that week-ends are prime fishing time there, and rooms may fill up. For those who can get away during the week the price is better and of course there are fewer birders then than on the week-end. We've had great birding success there in past years, and someone usually gets a lifebird.
