Today was a good day to hike. Cold but sunny with the hint of snow and colder
temps. on tape for tonight and tomorrow which stimulated birds to be out and
about feeding. I was able to see lots of birds. My hike covered approximately
12 miles in the Lynn Camp and Home Creek section of Buchanan County.
Great Blue Heron 2
Male Mallards 4 and 1 female
Belted Kingfisher 1
Eastern Towhee 10
Northern Cardinal 8
Caroline Wren 1
White-breasted Nuthatch 2
Tufted Titmouse 3
Carolina Chickadee 3
American Crow 6
Red-tailed Hawk 1
Peleated Woodpecker 4
Dark-eyed Junco 28
Wild Turkey 10
Mourning Dove 1 and 35 at our feeder in the side yard.
