Went back to look for the Short-eared Owl and Woodcock yesterday. I found this
Vesper Sparrow and several Meadowlarks out braving a stiff wind. Daryl Owens
joined me and we searched the area where the Woodcock were previously but
struck out. That stiff wind brought a rain shower with it that shortened our
stay. No owl sighting unless Daryl saw one after we parted. The sunset was
captured the day before, a definite perk to living up there! The other fuzzy
sparrow picture is an unusual appearance of a Swamp at our feeders today.
