NRA Pistol Instructor & HFS Instructor Class
Date: January 21st & 22nd, 2017
Start Time: 8:00 AM Saturday 9:00 Sunday
Location: Bradford Sportsmen's Club, Charlestown RI; meet in Cell Tower-side
Club House.
Training fee $295.00, Bradford members or immediate family $195.00.
With completion of this class you can train to meet the requirements for LTC in
RI, CT and Mass. as well as most other States.
You must be a NRA Member to register as an Instructor at end of class. Sign up
on line at if not a member.
Send a deposit of $50 to Ken at address below to hold a place in the class.
As of February 17th all Pistol Instructor Candidates must now take Phase one
of the Basic Pistol Course on line @ https://onlinetraining.nra.org/ before ;
attending my live Instruction. I cannot complete your certification until you
can show me that you did this.
The class consists of two parts: Basic Instructor training followed by Pistol
Instructor. There is a test to be completed at conclusion of each part. You
must score 90% on each. You will, if you go to the manuals, for answers to
questions on each test. This is an open book test and no reason for anyone not
to pass. At some point before or during class you will be vetted for present
knowledge on Pistol and revolver. This will consist of three parts plus student
test: 1) Safe loading and unloading of pistol & revolvers; 2) Clearing (safely)
common stoppages; 3) A 20 shot skills test. Bring eye and ear protection and
20+ rounds of ammo. Please comply with all laws concerning transporting of
firearms. At the successful conclusion of this class, I will sign off on your
Electronic application to NRA Headquarters. This is required as you will be
certified by the home office upon my approval. There is a small Fee involved
paid directly to the NRA.
