Yo,
Is anyone thinking of observing this weekend, perhaps not too far North?
Moon doesn't rise till 12:30 on Sunday morning. I wonder if people observe
anymore at Dugas Road; 1 hr from N Phoenix and a bit higher. I'd be ok with
Stoneman Lake Rd (maybe 1.5 hr for me.) Thing is, my wife will be out of
town and I need something to do!
I was going to recommend this weekend also, mainly
because the medium-term weather forecast is for a modest
return of the monsoon by next weekend. The Moon is moving
north fast this weekend, so as Paul noted, the Moonrise
is midnight-ish Friday/Saturday night, and only 12:40a
on Sunday morning. Might be a problem only if you really
stay up that late and only look at very faint stuff.
