Just a short note. I should have commented earlier.
I really enjoy your images, and I want to Thank You for sharing them with us.
You are doing a GREAT job.
AND.... we are ALL learning. Hopefully, that never stops. The "journey" is
indeed the adventure.

*The Streak*: I'm not sure what the streak is. Seems it should have been
removed in the processing since I use a* Linear Fit *in the Pixel rejection
algorithm, it seems it should have removed it. I don't have this on other
pictures, so it shouldn't be hardware related.
*Elongated Stars*: Still working on this also, I'm pretty sure it's
hardware related I have some ideas, but still investigating including:
1. Optics quality. This is a mass-produced telescope, not top of the
line hardware like a planewave telescope.
2. Sensor size to big for image being projected. This is a full frame
sensor, so field distortion is part of the problem. the a-symmetric nature
of the stars on the edge is probably due to the fact I may have trimmed the
image some. Even at that the distortion is slightly a-symmetric. This
leads me to the next possibility
3. Focal plane on chip. It may be that the chip may need to be slightly
tilted to match the focal plane on the chip. Still more to investigate on
that...
This is a continuing learning process, Although the images are not the
quality that others produce on a regular basis in the group, I think it''s
a good thing for others to see the range of experience and hardware quality
out there. so I'm glad to share but realize I still have a ways to go!
The journey is a lot of the adventure, and makes me appreciate things as
they get better!
I welcome others thoughts on the issues identified.
