As it turned out, Stoneman Lake was completely overrun by 4WD-ATVers and
not a spot available anywhere. A few of us took a chance on driving over to
Fredricksen's Meadow via newly graded Stoneman Lake Rd and it was
excellent, not an ATV enclave in sight. I will no longer try to go to
Stoneman Lake, Freds Med is my new favorite and always has been, I don't
recall why we switched.
