Those directions, David, are the old ones. The original Cherry Site was
indeed on the right (west) side of the dirt road.
But it is now gated and so we use a site about 800 feet farther south on the
left (east) side of the road. A low dirt birm is easily crossed by a family
sedan and the field is large-- about 100 yards by 250 yards or so.

Help with Confusion Issue Please...
Rick... You point to the "calendar" which produces a pop up saying....
"Directions:
Take I-17 north to the Cherry Rd exit. Turn west (left) and continue on
Cherry Rd for about 5 miles. Turn Left on the dirt road just past
the sign that says Cherry 6. Note you turn in the direction Opposite the
arrow on the sign. The site is 3/4 mile on the left in a small clearing."
But then you state " A map can be found on the observing sites link off the
homepage..."
The Observing Sites Page lists Cheery Rd, and has a nice map...
But... the instructions say:
Take I-17 north to the Cherry Rd exit.
Turn west (left) and continue on Cherry Rd for about 5 miles.
Turn Left on the dirt road, just past the sign that says Cherry 6.
Note you turn in the direction Opposite the arrow on the sign.
The site is 1/2 mile in through a fence on your right.
Please close the gate behind you and make sure it remains closed at
all times
Cherry Rd II is about .8 mile further down the dirt road on the left
you will see
a large grassy field.
I seem to remember some discussion that said "do NOT go thru the gate... but
keep going to the newer location.
Is the "Map" referring to Cherry Rd #1 (Do NOT Use), and Cherry Rd #2 (Use
this one) ??
It would be helpful if the "Map" wording were clearer on this....
Can someone confirm please... .8 mile on the dirt road -- look for grassy
field on left --
Do NOT turn right through a gate at .5 miles in on the
right...
