Yea, I went to bed it suddenly dawned on me that "Hey wait those "stars" never moved!" The real stars where moving and the frames are 20 min apart so a greater amount of time went by than I realized. (It was a long day yesterday)At least now I think I get the "dark frame" thing the Astro image guys talk about... Besides the fairly thick cirrus and persistent contrails, there are stars, notably Capella and beta Aur setting in the left-center above the 72-inch dome. The stationary 'stars' are hot pixels, though Polaris does show up as a faint star toward the upper-right corner. On clear Moonless nights you can see stars down to mag 4 or thereabouts. \Brian -- See message header for info on list archives or unsubscribing, and please send personal replies to the author, not the list. -- See message header for info on list archives or unsubscribing, and please send personal replies to the author, not the list.
