Mac looked into the faces of his little ones. He couldn't do this. He couldn't
return to work and hand them over to someone else. What if they needed him?
What if something went wrong?
He knew Anna had been offered the position on Earth. He could follow her.
They could go home and raise them right.
Sighing softly, he went to type out his resignation.
I am wounded but I am not dead
I will lay me down and bleed awhile
then I will rise up and fight again
