"Around In Circles" Jr. Lt. James Henderson Looking at the text message James couldn't believe his eyes. He had no idea that the Chief Tactical Officer had heard his comments or that he would think James was prejudiced. Then to be threatened with a write up if he spoke his mind again. That was just plain ridiculous. He finished off his shift with no major problems. It's not exactly like the ship was going anywhere and engineering still hadn't sent the requested changes. So basically all he did was stand around and monitor the ship. Which was docked to a station. He reported off to the next unfortunate soul who got to stand watch during the night shift and returned to his cabin. He took a quick shower and changed into some old gym clothes. He needed to work off some frustration. He would've called Lyta to see if she wanted to join him but he wanted to be alone. He grabbed his gear and made his way to the holodeck and loaded his program. "Computer load program Henderson, Beta zulu 456." He waited while the computer finished loading the program. "You may enter at any time. Program is up and running." Entering the holodeck he waited until the doors closed behind him. As he stood there he could hear the sounds of the program. He was back in time, the 21 century to be exact. Before him were several different types of motor vehicles from that time period. These particular vehicles were designed to go extremely fast around a circular track. He walked up to his car. It was black with yellow trim, no windows, instead there was some kind of webbing. Putting on his helmet he crawled through the webbing and into the car. He made sure he was securly fastened and then he started it up. He could feel the power of the engine as it purred beneath his feet. He manevered his vehicle into formation along with the rest of the cars. The man with the green flag waved it furiously beginning the race. He always thought it was kinda funny to keep going in a circle. Nevertheless he enjoyed the anticipation of what would happen next. Usually there were at least three or four crashes but as long as he wasn't in them he didn 't mind. He just enjoyed the rush and exhiliaration he got from the fast speeds. Several hours later he left the holodeck feeling much calmer. He had a feeling he would be using this program more and more, especially if Sr. Lt. Zarak continued as he was.
