Luckily we'd opted to use the WebWorks for FrameMaker version. Of course,
Adobe's commitment to Frame might not be 100% either.

I just came across this site where you can sign a petition to reinstate
RoboHelp for FrameMaker.

For anyone that doesn't know, RoboHelp for Frame was released not long ago
and was the long-awaited alternative to Web Works Publisher (to Mick
Washbrooke and anyone else having to use that software - I feel your pain).
Macromedia then bought RoboHelp and decided to kill the Frame version, but
they still continued to sell it and gave no warning while they were
contemplating killing it. They also didn't just stop developing it, they
withdrew it from sale so you can't actually buy it anymore.
I don't know if the petition will do any good - but it won't hurt to add
your name if you care in the slightest about getting good tools to do our
job.
