Ilana,
Do you have an idea of the source of corruption? What was the symptoms? I
cant believe that in all my time I've never experienced a hard disk failure.
Though recently my PC came down with three viruses simultaneously, (it never
rains it pours). They were identified as funlove.gen and Nordak (or some
similar title) and one other I cant remember. Fortunately I did not lose
anything on my hard disk.
So I gather in your case, it was no virus, or was it?

Matilda Reich

(un)lucky people like me who use windows xp. For the third time (I repeat),
third time in the past two months, I have had to reformat my hard drive, due
to a corruption of some sort, (each time it has been of a different kind).
> The only thing that has saved my sanity (and job) is that I never, ever
save anything important on my C drive without first having a copy on a
network drive (or on CD). But hard experience has shown that this in itself
is not enough, I have also learned that it is vital to save such things as
bookmarks, addresses and templates that normally live on my C drive
somewhere else as well. Use the export function today to make a copy of all
these vital sources today. You never know when your next fatal crash is
around the corner! Be prepared!
